How to successfully conduct operation and maintenance of an integrated site with sustainable water treatment, fish farming and irrigation

4-5 February 2019: A training session on our pilot site in Kisumu, Kenya conducted by our project coordinator HsKA (Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Germany) and partners ABTG (AquaBioTech Group, Malta) and DALF (Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fischeries of Kisumu County, Kenya) shows how.

The 15 participants working at fish farms, research institutes and governmental organisations had the opportunity to get live insights and hands-on exercises on VicInAqua technologies and the operation and maintenance of an integrated pilot site as the VicInAqua one constructed in Kisumu. The two-days event gathered theoretical knowledge on MBR (membrane bioreactors), RAS (recirculating aquaculture systems), smart sensors and renewable energy systems (photovoltaics and biogas), as well as training on site.
