VicInAqua academic student exchange programme - first round conducted in Italy

From 7 to 20 May 2018, our partners ITM-CNR (Institute on Membrane Technology, National Research Council, Italy) and UNICAL (University of Calabria, Italy) welcomed academic students from Tanzania and Uganda to their research premises in the frame of our student exchange programme. The two-weeks programme enabled the students to be trained on VicInAqua new technologies in the fields of water treatment, membrane science, chemistry and organic synthesis.

The teams at ITM-CNR and UNICAL organised a diversified schedule gathering visit of laboratories, lectures, practical exercises and a study visit of a wastewater treatment plant with an integrated Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) system in Bisignano, CS. The students will now write a report assessing their stay in Italy, while the feeling is already positive thanks to the innovations shared and learned and the very warm welcome and care of the ITM-CNR and UNICAL's team!
