Maltese secondary schools students discovers EU effort for sustainable aquaculture with VicInAqua

On January 2019, Partner AquaBioTech Group (ABTG, Malta) invited secondary schools students to their premises in Mosta, Malta to showcase their innovations in the frame of VicInAqua.

The students had the opportunity to discover the efforts ABTG is investing into affordable, more sustainable aquaculture thanks to the funding received from the European Commission in the frame of the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020. The presentation also underlined the extended expertise of ABTG in the field and how the Maltese company is working well with other partners from the European Union but also from the three Lake Victoria countries: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. With the video of the project, the students were also able to get very lively impressions of the pilot built in Kisumu, Kenya and of the reactions of local actors, especially those involved in trainings and information sessions aiming at raising local capacities, knowledge and awareness on sustainable aquaculture tools and concepts.
