What VicInAqua offers to Uganda - and to all countries facing water scarcity for food production

Self-cleaning, low-fouling membranes for wastewater treatment, recirculation system for the water in aquaculture, intelligent and flexible monitoring, renewable energies: VicInAqua integrates several technological solutions in an overall concept. The resulting pilot site can be used not only for producing sustainable, high quality fish fingerlings but also to train local fish farmers and scientists and raise the awareness of the local population about the benefits of sustainable fish farming and wastewater reuse for food production.

The Ugandan NBS TV accompanied our project partners during VicInAqua local trainings and round tables. Watch the reportages here and listen to the benefits our Uganda partner NARO (National Agricultural Research Organization) sees for Lake Victoria Basin countries.

Thanks to the NBS team and our partners for their great involvement in these reportages!
